This article describes the most common InfoBurst Portal delivery scenarios and provides recommendations for each scenario.


Common Delivery Scenarios


For versioning purposes, all deliveries to the InfoBurst Portal will result in content groups. Grouping occurs based on format type and group name. The following are the most common delivery scenarios and recommendations for each.


Refresh and deliver a single document (no bursting)


The following delivery configuration will result in a single content group named for the source document:

  • Group Name: [$DOCNAME]
  • File Name: (leave blank)


Burst a single document and deliver all resulting content to a single content group


The following delivery configuration will result in a single content group named for the source document and containing content for different bursting values:

  • Group Name: [$DOCNAME]
  • File Name: (leave blank)


Burst a single document and deliver resulting content to different content groups based on bursting value


The following delivery configuration will result in one content group per bursting value where each group is named with the bursting value:

  • Group Name: Parameter Macro
    • Example: [=Enter State:]
  • File Name: (leave blank)


Burst multiple documents on a common parameter or filter and deliver resulting content to different content groups based on bursting value


The following delivery configuration (for each document) will result in one content group per bursting value where each group is named with the bursting value. Each group will contain content from multiple reports:

  • Group Name: Parameter Macro
    • Example: [=Enter State:]
  • File Name: (leave blank)
