EXPORT error "No logon token provided (RWS 00008)"

The following error occurs during EXPORT of a large file from BusinessObjects:


No logon token provided in the X-SAP-LogonToken HTTP header or query parameter. (RWS 00008)


The error can result when the EXPORT time exceeds the Enterprise Session Token Timeout. We recommend incrementally increasing the timeout setting until the export is successful.


  • Open the BusinessObjects CMC
  • Open Properties of WebApplicationContainerServer
  • Locate Properties > RESTful Web Service > Enterprise Session Token Timeout and increase the setting
  • Re-start the WebApplicationContainerServer
