Summary

This article describes Settings available for Burst items.

Access

  • Select a Burst item
  • Select the Settings button under Item Details

Max Generation

This setting controls the total runtime of an item within a Burst (not total Burst runtime). If Max Generation is exceeded, then the document processing will be terminated and retried (x2). Number of retries is configurable.

Processing Mode

Assign a specific BusinessObjects processing server type for document processing.

  • On Demand: Utilizes the processing server
  • Scheduled Instance: Utilizes the job server

Email Subject

Use this option to customize the subject line of an email delivery for a specific Burst item. Delivery Mode must be set to Immediate to use this option. Customize the subject using static text and/or Macros.

Email Subject (If No Delivery)

If a Delivery uses Delivery Condition, then optionally configure a subject for the No Delivery email notification to email recipients. Customize the subject using static text and/or Macros. Delivery Mode must be set to Immediate to use this option.

Parameter LOV Validation

By default, InfoBurst will validate user-supplied parameter values against the BusinessObjects LOV and abort the Burst if a value is not in the default LOV. Control if or how Parameter LOV Validation is used.
  • Default: Use system default
  • Abort (default): Abort if parameter value is not present in the BusinessObjects LOV
  • Continue: Detect if parameter value is not present in the BusinessObjects LOV, return informational message, and continue processing
  • Off: Disable validation
