General
  • Generation Mode: Determines how documents are processed in the burst
    • Sequential: Process documents serially
    • Parallel: Process documents in parallel
  • Delivery Mode: Determines when documents are delivered during the burst
    • At End: Delivery is deferred to the end of the burst
      • Required to group content into a single email message per recipient in the burst
      • Use to avoid delivering partial document results in the event one or more documents fail in the burst
    • Immediate: Delivery occurs when the document is available
  • Alert On Abort: Indicates whether the burst is on the Burst Alert list
  • Enable RTS Log: By default various burst-level actions are entered in the server log. To omit server logging for the burst, uncheck the box. Disabling this option would be used to reduce the overall size of server logs.
  • Last/Min/Max: Displays the last, minimum and maximum burst execution times
  • Email On Abort: Send an email notification and Activity Log to the burst owner in the event of an abort
  • Abort Options: Select an option to define what occurs when a burst aborts. Abort Options do not apply to the Delivery phase of a burst.
    • Stop On Abort (default): Stop processing the current document on first abort and do not deliver any content from the document. Any remaining documents in the burst will not be processed.
    • Continue With No Delivery: Stop processing the current document on first abort and do not deliver any content from the document. Any remaining documents in the burst will be processed.
    • Deliver When Possible: Stop processing the current document on first abort but deliver any partial content from the document. Any remaining documents in the burst will be processed.
  • Simulate Delivery: Simulates the delivery of documents from a burst
  • Group Emails: Group email content by email recipient
    • If an email recipient is receiving content from multiple documents in a burst, all content from the burst will be grouped into a single email message
    • At End Delivery Mode must be enable to use this feature

Email Options

Configure various burst-level email options.
  • From: Customize the From email address. Overrides the system default.
  • Subject: Define a custom subject
    • Specify a subject using static text or system macros
    • This option is applied at the burst level and applies to all email deliveries in the burst
    • Document-level email subject customization and document-specific parameter macros (i.e., [=CITY]) will not apply when this option is used
  • Subject if data provider is empty or if delivery condition fails: Only available for documents that have notify if condition fails or notify if empty content enabled, and that have an email destination delivery
  • Message: Define a custom message
    • Message field support HTML tags
  • Before/After burst content: Select an option to display custom message before or after burst content
  • Footer: Customize the email footer message. Overrides the system default.
    • Footer field supports HTML tags
    • To omit the footer, enter HTML tags with no content (example = <div></div>)
  • Table of Contents: A table of contents is included with email deliveries and delivery notifications. Remove this option to exclude the table of contents and email header from email messages.
    • This option is applied at the burst level and applies to all email deliveries in the burst
  • Hide Document Titles: This option is available when Table of Contents is disabled. Check this option to hide document titles (sections) inserted by InfoBurst in the email message.
  • Ignore Missing Recipients: Select this option to ignore instances when a bursting value has no corresponding email address in the bursting data source. Default behavior is to abort when the recipient address is missing.
  • Compress Attachments: Select this option to compress attachments received by an email recipient to .ZIP format where the recipient is receiving attachments from multiple deliveries in a burst
    • Name: Specify a file name using static text and/or system macros. If this field is left blank the file name will be the name of the burst.
    • Password: Optionally supply a password to encrypt the ZIP file
    • Allow macro as password: Select this option to supply customized password(s) using extra column macro
    • Burst-level Zip option does not work in conjunction with the Zip Option available for an individual delivery
