This article describes InfoBurst group creation and management. Groups is located under System.
Types
Groups can be managed manually in InfoBurst and dynamically via Active Directory or Authentication Data Source.
Group Types:
- IB: InfoBurst
- AD: Activity Directory Synchronization
- DS: Authentication Data Source
Create a Group
- Select New Group
- Name: Enter a group name
- Select Save
Manage Group Members
Add Members
- Select Members of tab
- Select the plus (+) button
- Select a user from Available Users to add to group
- Select OK
Remove Members
- Select Members of tab
- Select trash button next to user
Schedule Priority
Schedule priority is enforced when multiple schedules occur at the same time. If queues are full when the schedules start, then the group with the higher priority will be assigned the open queue position.
0: highest priority that can be granted to a group
99: lowest priority that can be granted to a group
Example: Group 1 is assigned a schedule priority of 50. Group 2 is assigned a schedule priority of 70. If a member in each group schedules a burst to execute at 10:00 AM, the burst scheduled by the user from Group 1 will take priority of the burst scheduled by the user from Group 2.
