A Burst processing a BusinessObjects report retries after reaching the Max Generation threshold. Default Max Generation is two hours. If the BusinessObjects issue causing the Max Generation threshold to be reached remains unresolved, then the Burst can remain in a retry loop for up to six hours before the Burst aborts.
Cause
The default number of Max Generation retries is 2.
Solution
Resolve the underlying BusienssObjects issue or adjust the number of Max Generation retries to accommodate for your situation.
To change number of Max Generation retries:
Open a command prompt on the InfoBurst server
Enter IBCONFIG RTSRETRYMAX [#] where # is number of retries (example: IBCONFIG RTSRETRYMAX 3)
Enter IBCONFIG to confirm RTSRETRYMAX setting change
