Problem

Report variables are unavailable when viewing report properties or when selecting a filter variable within a

Burst

Cause

This issue may be caused by:

• Use of custom universe hierarchy
  
• XI user has insufficient access rights to drill report hierarchies
  

Solution

Please consult your SAP BusinessObjects administrator before implementing any of the following resolutions.

Custom Hierarchy:

If a custom hierarchy is used in the reporting universe, ensure the CLASS containing the target variable, the target

variable and related variables are included in the custom hierarchy (i.e., Region > City > Store).

Access Rights:

Ensure the BusinessObjects account associated with the InfoBurst user cataloging the report has sufficient access

in BusinessObjects to drill the report and any custom hierarchies.
