Better flexibility from data source driven bursts

I love the flexibility of using an external data sources to drive report parameters in-conjunction with extra column data. What I would really like is the ability to then also drive things such as format of the burst so have excel or pdf in my external datasource rather than having to access the Infoburst interface directly
