Queue Tableau Logons when using a Personal Access Token

Infoburst currently allows authentication with Tableau using a Personal Access Token. These are great because they eliminate the need to update platform credentials when passwords change.

However, there is a limitation within Tableau that only one request can run at a time (link). This means that if more than one burst runs at the same time, one will complete and the other will get stuck until it times out and rechecks (by default 2 hours later).

As an interim solution, we've been able to get around this by staggering our bursts at different times, but it would be great if Infoburst could queue these requests and run them one after another when using Token authentication.

Hey William. It is possible to limit the number of jobs submitted to a Tableau Platform by adjust the Platform queue.

However, I do not think you are looking to limit the number of jobs submitted to a Platform. But rather limit the number of concurrent requests to a Platform and queue any concurrent requests.

Thanks! This was helpful
