New Features & Enhancements


Power BI


Support added for Power BI Report and Power BI Paginated Report bursting, publishing, and delivery. This functionality requires the Power BI add-on. Contact the InfoSol Help Desk for details. See Bursting Methods for guidelines on Power BI Report filtering.


Tableau


Burst


New Burst Abort Behavior option Continue with retry. Use the setting to automatically retry an aborted Burst where only the aborted step will be retried. Feature also offers Burst Recovery Mode. Recovery Mode can be used to save state of a Burst when retry attempts fail. State refers to all steps that completed and content successfully generated. In Recovery Mode, the Burst will only run for fail steps and then deliver all content upon completion. Burst Retry and Recovery Mode do not apply to the delivery phase of a Burst.

Default Cache Query __last_refresh added to return last refresh date/time


Workflows

  • Power BI Report Workflows added
  • Cache Database Query Workflow added. Create data cache for use in a dashboard.
  • WebI publishing Workflows now available as option for Workflow users
  • View Last Log option added to Workflow Summary
  • Workflow On Specific Dates schedule frequency updated to use inline calendar component


SharePoint


Use a SharePoint List as a:

  • Data Source for parameters and deliveries
  • Burst item to deliver in Excel, Tableau Hyper, Power BI Dataset, and other formats


Schedules

  • New Calendar object available. Create a Calendar, select one or more dates, then users can select the Calendar using the Select Calendar Dates frequency when creating a Schedule. Any Schedule using a Calendar will be automatically updated when the Calendar dates are edited.
  • Schedule On Specific Dates frequency updated to use inline calendar component


Notes


Database Query and SharePoint List can be published as an HTML table where table formatting can be controlled via CSS. CSS can now be defined in a Note.

Build 240 Users


InfoBurst moves to 64-bit starting with InfoBurst 2021.1. 64-bit means new features, faster performance, and better memory allocation for handling of large data sets. See the InfoBurst 2021.1-2022.2 release notes for list of new features in 64-bit. Please review 64-bit Migration before proceeding with a 64-bit installation.
