Build 240 Users

InfoBurst 2021 represents the 64-bit version of InfoBurst. The move to 64-bit means new features, faster performance, and better memory allocation for handling of large data sets. See the InfoBurst 2021.1-2021.3 release notes for list of new features in 64-bit.

Users of Build 240 must read 64-bit Migration before proceeding with a 64-bit installation.

New Features & Enhancements

Power BI

Create Power BI Datasets from Web Intelligence, Universe Query (Workflow only), Database Query or Excel using a Burst or Workflow and deliver to Power BI Server. Power BI features require the Power BI add-on. Contact the InfoSol Help Desk or your InfoSol account manager for details.

Tableau

• Publish PowerPoint format from a Tableau Workbook. Tableau supports only publication of an entire workbook and not individual views. Tableau does not support filtering for this format.
• Publish Excel CrossTab format from a Tableau Workbook. Tableau does not support filtering for this format.

Workflows

• Power BI Dataset Workflows added
• Database Query to Excel Workflow added
• Settings section added to publish workflows

Burst/XDC

• Support added for Excel worksheet bursting. Excel documents added to InfoBurst pre-2021.4 must be updated to capture column information for filtering.
• Add Burst to new Schedule from Burst tab
• Delete Column Excel Extension added
• Option added to attach PNG file to email message

Schedule

• New On Expiry status added
• $EVENT macro added for use in schedule Action notifications
• Schedule Start/End Dates added to OData reporting
• Will Run On feature now supported for Schedule using Macro frequency
• Schedule with Actions now produces a schedule-specific log under Monitor > Schedules to record Action execution
• Run As Owner option added at Schedule level and Monitor > Schedules level for users with Administrator or System Operator role
• Server time zone displayed in Monitor and Burst/XDC Recent Activity when server and end user time zones differ

System

• Windows Server 2022 support added
• Tableau Platform:  Support added for Personal Access Token authentication
• Option added to disable system thread monitoring feature under System > Configuration > General > CheckForStuckThreads

Fixed Issues

• Monitor graph does not work for all regions
• "Object reference not set.." error promoting Burst that contains delivery or notification to InfoBurst user group
• Unable to add second Database Query delivery
• TOKEN_MON hung due to BusinessObjects outage when calling 'stopsession'
• "Between Dates" not working for Macro-based schedule
• "Tab" inserted into WebI Tab-delimited Plain Text
• Long-running Run Command Action causes system instability
• Workflow Schedule summary incorrect for Database Query and Universe Query to Hyper
